HAWJB-P3 Series — IP66 GRP Weatherproof
IP66-Rated GRP Electrical Enclosure — Built for the World's Harshest Environments
If your cables, instruments, or electrical connections are exposed to rain, chemicals, dust, or extreme heat — a standard plastic or metal box simply won't last. The HEPDA HAWJB-P3 Series GRP Electrical Enclosure is built for exactly those conditions.
Understanding GRP
What Is a GRP Electrical Enclosure?
GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic — a composite material made by embedding glass fibres into a plastic (polyester) resin. It's strong, it doesn't rust, it doesn't conduct electricity, and it handles harsh chemicals without breaking down.
Unlike steel boxes that can rust or standard plastic boxes that can crack under UV and heat, a GRP enclosure stays structurally sound for years — even in the most aggressive outdoor and industrial environments. GRP is the material. IP66 is the protection rating. Together, they make a box your electricals can live in safely — no matter where you put it.
Complete corrosion immunity
Strong acids, alkalis, ammonia, chloride ions, and salt spray — GRP is rated for all of them.
Electrically non-conductive
GRP does not conduct electricity — a significant safety advantage over metal enclosures. No grounding worries from the box itself.
Wide temperature range
Operates comfortably from -20°C to +55°C — suitable for refrigerated facilities through to tropical outdoor installations.
Lightweight and easy to install
GRP is significantly lighter than steel. One person can handle installation without heavy lifting equipment.
HAWJB-P3 Series features
Why Choose the HEPDA GRP Enclosure?
Every property of GRP makes it the correct material for chemical, coastal, and offshore environments.
IP66-Rated — Fully Sealed Against Dust and Water Jets
IP66 means the enclosure is completely dustproof AND withstands powerful water jets from any direction. The protection rating required for most outdoor industrial installations.
Corrosion-Resistant — Handles What Metal Cannot
Specifically rated to withstand strong acids and alkalis, ammonia and chloride ion environments, salt spray, continuous moisture, and dust and fine particle ingress.
IK10 Impact Protection — The Toughest Rating Available
IK10 is the highest impact protection rating on the IEC scale. The enclosure withstands a 20 joule mechanical impact — the force of a 5 kg object dropped from 40 cm.
Wide Temperature Range — Works in Cold and Heat
The HAWJB-P3 operates from -20°C to +55°C. From refrigerated food storage to outdoor industrial installations in Singapore's tropical climate.
Non-Conductive — Safer for Electrical Installations
GRP does not conduct electricity. No grounding worries, no shock hazard from the box itself — a significant advantage over metal enclosures.
High Voltage Capability — Up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC
Rated for up to 1000A current and voltages up to 1000V AC or 1500V DC. Suitable for solar DC installations, high-capacity distribution points, and heavy industrial wiring.

Industry applications
Where Is This GRP Enclosure Used?
The HEPDA HAWJB-P3 GRP enclosure is widely used across multiple industries where standard enclosures simply aren't up to the job:
Oil and Gas / Petroleum
Offshore platforms, refineries, and pipeline installations demand enclosures that resist hydrocarbon exposure, salt air, and mechanical impact. GRP enclosures are the standard choice because they tick all those boxes.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plants
Where acid splashes, alkali fumes, and aggressive cleaning agents are everyday realities, GRP is the safe, maintenance-free choice for housing junction boxes, terminal blocks, and instrumentation.
Food and Beverage Manufacturing
Hygiene areas in food factories use high-pressure water and chemical washdowns daily. The IP66 rating means the HEPDA GRP enclosure handles these cleaning routines without letting a drop inside.
Warehouses and Cold Storage
Temperature extremes in cold-chain logistics and warehousing don't faze this enclosure. Its -20°C lower rating makes it ideal for freezer rooms and refrigerated distribution centres.
Outdoor Infrastructure and Solar Installations
For junction boxes in solar farms, outdoor switchgear panels, and remote monitoring stations, a weatherproof GRP enclosure rated IP66 protects against rain, UV, and temperature shifts without constant maintenance.
Military and Defence Facilities
Where durability and reliability are non-negotiable, military-grade environments trust GRP enclosures for wiring and piping infrastructure.
