Frequently Asked Questions About Industrial Enclosures
Yes. The GRP HAWJB-P3 range carries FCC, CE, and RoHS certifications and complies with European EN, International IEC, and Eurasian EAC standards. The HA Series Stainless Steel range carries a Certificate of Conformity (Test Verification). Documentation is available for download or on request for project files.
Both are fully dust-tight. IP66 is protected against powerful water jets from any direction — the correct rating for most industrial outdoor and offshore applications. IP67 additionally allows temporary submersion to 1 metre for 30 minutes — needed only where flooding or underground deployment is a risk. HEPDA's industrial enclosures are rated IP66.
For pharmaceutical, food processing, and high-impact sites where a metal specification is required — choose stainless steel (SS316L or SS304). For chemical plants, offshore platforms, coastal environments, and outdoor telecom where light weight and complete chemical corrosion immunity are paramount — choose GRP. Not sure? HEPDA offers 39+ standard models across both ranges. The HA Series Stainless Steel enclosures range from 100×100×50mm to 910×1140×500mm. The HAWJB-P3 GRP Series offers 26 models from 107×85×74mm to 720×420×240mm. Custom sizes are available across both ranges.
GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic — also called Glass Reinforced Polyester, FRP, or fibreglass. It's a composite material that is completely corrosion-proof, electrically non-conductive, UV-resistant, and chemically inert. HEPDA's GRP enclosures (HAWJB-P3 Series) are rated IP66 with IK10 impact protection.
Depending on your installation, you may need: cable glands (M20–M80 thread range) to seal cable entries at IP66 level, DIN rail mounting kits for internal component organisation, locking hardware for remote or unsupervised sites, thermal management, and wall or pole mounting brackets. HEPDA can advise on the complete accessory package for your specific enclosure and application.
