Product overview
Plug In. Power Up. Built to Last in the Harshest Conditions.
The HUS-HDM-F82S is a hardened-grade unmanaged 8-port industrial switch engineered for environments that commercial networking gear simply cannot survive — rated for −40°C to +75°C, built with redundant DC power inputs, and designed to run without configuration from day one. No CLI. No VLAN setup. No firmware provisioning before deployment.
Eight 10/100/1000Base-TX ports and two 1000Base-SFP uplinks give you the port density to build a complete field network node from a single device. 6KV surge protection on all RJ-45 and SFP ports. Built-in fault alarm via electric relay alerts your team immediately when something is wrong. Compact IP40-rated aluminium housing with DIN-rail or wall-mount flexibility.
Features
HUS-HDM-F82S Hardened Grade Unmanaged 8-Port Industrial Switch
–40°C to +75°C Hardened Temperature Range
Full industrial hardened range — handles Singapore's outdoor cabinet heat and extreme cold environments equally. Rated for continuous operation without cooling.
2 × 1000Base-SFP Fibre Uplinks
Both SFP uplink slots are standard on every model. Connect fibre media converters and run single-mode fibre back to control rooms for distance and electrical isolation.
Dual Redundant DC Power — 9–56V
Two independent DC inputs. Automatic failover — one feed fails, the switch keeps running without interruption. Standard on all three variants.
Fault Alarm via Electric Relay
Connects directly to your monitoring or alarm system without requiring SNMP or a management VLAN. For unmanaged field nodes, this is the right architecture.
6KV Surge Protection on All Ports
All RJ45 and SFP ports carry 6KV surge protection — handles the electrical abuse that industrial sites produce without damaging the switch or connected devices.
DIN-Rail Mount — Standard Industrial Cabinet
Mounts on a standard 35mm DIN rail — drops directly into HEPDA's HA Series enclosures and any standard industrial control cabinet without adapters.

Applications
Where it is deployed
IP Surveillance and Physical Security
Large-perimeter camera systems need PoE power and network connectivity at each camera location — often nowhere near a power outlet. Eight copper ports handle up to eight cameras per unit; fibre uplinks carry video traffic back to the NVR.
Industrial Automation and Manufacturing
Factory floors in Singapore's Tuas and Jurong industrial estates run PLCs, robotic controllers, and machine vision systems that need reliable, noise-immune network power. DIN-rail mounting drops straight into the control panel.
Smart City and Road Infrastructure
Traffic cameras, environmental sensors, and variable message signage at road junctions need power and connectivity in a compact field cabinet. One switch powers multiple PoE devices and uplinks back to the traffic management centre over fibre.
Utility and Power Distribution
Electrical substations and water treatment facilities run 24/7. The dual redundant power input with automatic failover means that if one feed trips, the switch stays on.
Oil, Gas and Petrochemical
Jurong Island plants need network infrastructure that handles heat, vibration, and continuous operation without manual intervention. Cabinet temperatures regularly exceed what commercial switches are rated for.
Transportation and Port Logistics
Seaport terminals, MRT depot facilities, and air cargo handling areas run access control and asset tracking across wide physical footprints. Fibre uplinks eliminate the 100m copper distance ceiling.
