Product overview
The HMC-IDM-G1NPp — Industrial PoE+ Gigabit Media Converter
The HMC-IDM-G1NPp is an industrial-grade gigabit media converter built from an aluminium housing with an IP40-rated enclosure. It bridges 10/100/1000Base-TX copper Ethernet with full IEEE 802.3at PoE+ power delivery to a 1000Base-FX fibre optic network. It runs on redundant 48–57V DC power, carries 6KV ESD protection on its Ethernet interfaces, and 6KV EFT protection on its power lines.
Mount it on a DIN-rail inside your cabinet, connect your IP camera or access point to the RJ45 PoE+ port, run fibre back to your switch room, and the unit handles data and power together reliably — without configuration. It gives you a stable, electrically isolated fibre link and clean 30W power delivery over one copper cable, from a single piece of hardware designed to stay up when conditions turn bad.

HMC-IDM-G1NPp — Industrial PoE+ Gigabit Media Converter
Power and Fibre in One Box. No Compromises. Aluminium housing · IP40 rated · IEC 61000-4 series EMC compliant · ±4KV surge protection · MTBF >300,000 hours.
PoE+ Power Delivery — IEEE 802.3at
Up to 30W delivered over the RJ45 PoE+ port. Powers IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP handsets, and sensors without a separate power run.
6KV ESD Protection on Ethernet
Ethernet ports absorb 6,000-volt electrostatic discharge events without damage to the converter or connected device.
6KV EFT Protection on Power Lines
Power input suppresses rapid voltage spikes caused by switching of inductive loads — motors, contactors, and relays in nearby industrial equipment.
Redundant 48–57VDC Input
Two independent DC inputs via terminal block. Automatic failover — primary failure causes zero interruption to data or PoE power.
Fibre reach up to 20km
SC connector. Up to 2km on multimode and up to 20km on singlemode at 1310nm — covers most industrial site topologies.
14 Gbps switching bandwidth
With 14 Gbps switching bandwidth, 10.5 Mbps forwarding rate, and 9000-byte jumbo frame support — built for real industrial Ethernet, not consumer-grade hardware.

Applications
Where it is deployed
Deployed across many industries where long-distance, interference-free network connectivity is required.
Port and Maritime Facilities
Ports and harbours need IP cameras and communications gear across large open areas. The HMC-IDM-G1NPp feeds PoE+ power and gigabit data to IP cameras and access points over a single copper drop, while fibre carries the signal back over long distances immune to EMI from heavy port machinery.
Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Plants
Refineries and LNG terminals need network links that don't flinch near heavy electrical loads. This converter's ESD and EFT protection handles the transient interference that comes with switching large inductive loads — pumps, compressors, high-voltage switchgear.
Manufacturing and Factory Automation
Production floors run variable-speed drives and CNC machinery — all of which generate electrical noise. This converter at the network edge isolates field IP cameras and wireless nodes from the noisy copper plant network.
Transport and Mass Rapid Transit
MRT depots, bus interchanges, and road tunnel monitoring need powered fibre drops to IP cameras in locations where running separate power is costly. The PoE+ output handles the camera; the fibre handles the distance.
Water Treatment and Utilities
PUB and NEA infrastructure sites run surveillance and sensors in outdoor environments exposed to Singapore's heat and humidity year-round. Operates from -20°C to 70°C with up to 95% non-condensing humidity.
Commercial Building and Campus Security
Large commercial developments run IP camera networks across multiple buildings. Fibre between buildings, copper to each camera — this converter sits at the junction, powering the camera and bridging the protocols.
