The HMC-CMT-G1S — Multi-Gigabit Copper to Fibre Conversion
The HMC-CMT-G1S is a commercial-grade gigabit media converter built from a compact metal housing with a store-and-forward conversion engine. It bridges high-speed copper Ethernet connections to fibre — supporting speeds from 10/100/1000M all the way up to 2.5G, 5G, and 10Gbps on both the copper and SFP+ fibre sides. At just 60 × 90 × 20 mm and 150 grams, it handles multi-gigabit conversion across the full speed spectrum. One small box. A lot of speed range.

Multi-Gigabit auto-negotiation
Auto-detects and matches 10/100/1000M, 2.5G, 5G, or 10G on both RJ45 and SFP+ ports — no manual speed-matching needed.
Store-and-forward processing
Full-frame buffering before forwarding — eliminates corrupted frame propagation. Clean data integrity on the fibre side.
10K jumbo frame support
Handles jumbo frames up to 10K bytes — important for storage, server, and industrial protocol traffic.
DIP switch configuration
LFP, ALS, FX Reset, and FX Speed — all configurable physically on the unit. Field-configurable in seconds without a laptop.

Server racks run copper RJ45 NICs, but the backbone runs fibre. The HMC-CMT-G1S converts copper server ports to 10G SFP+ fibre with zero reconfiguration on the server side.
